Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hands mobile application ("Hands", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Hands you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Hands is — and is not

Hands is a social card game played with virtual tokens. It is not gambling. Tokens have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed, exchanged, transferred, or cashed out for money or anything of value, and exist only for entertainment within the app. Success at Hands does not imply success at real-money gambling.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old (or the minimum age required by the app store in your region, whichever is higher) to use Hands. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

An account is created automatically when you first open the app. You may optionally link Apple or Google sign-in to keep your progress across devices, claim a username, and add friends. You are responsible for activity on your account. Usernames that are offensive, misleading, or impersonate others may be reclaimed or removed.

4. Virtual tokens and purchases

• Tokens may be earned in-game or purchased through the App Store as consumable in-app purchases.
• All purchases are final to the extent permitted by law. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms.
• Tokens are a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use a feature of the app — they are not your property and carry no cash value.
• Token balances may be adjusted or reset in cases of error, abuse, or fraud.

5. Fair play

You agree not to exploit bugs, automate play, tamper with the client or network traffic, harass other players, or attempt to gain tokens outside intended gameplay. We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in such behaviour and remove associated balances.

6. Social features

Hands includes usernames, friends lists, live tables, and chat. Do not share personal information in chat and do not use social features to abuse others. We may moderate, filter, or remove content and restrict social features at our discretion.

7. Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. Deletion erases your profile, balances, statistics, friendships, and progress, and cannot be undone. Purchased tokens are not refunded on deletion.

8. Availability and changes

Hands is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time, and may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be signposted in the app.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Hands, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
